Math 5 Math-U-See Zeta
School Year (September 8, 2026 to May 28, 2027)
Zeta deepens students’ understanding of place value, expanding it to the right of the decimal. This demonstrates the infinite nature of God’s creation and the precision He has built into mathematical principles. Zeta will use place value strategies and manipulatives to build understanding and mastery of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of multiple-digit decimals. Other topics will include percentages, measures of central tendency, measurement of shapes, exponents, algebraic expressions, interpreting and graphing relationships between dependent and independent variables, plane geometry and geometric symbols, and using ratio reasoning to solve problems, all of which point to the order and logic of God’s world. Homework will average 3-5 hours per week reinforcing concepts and encouraging independent learning.
