Math 4 Math-U-See Epsilon

School Year (September 8, 2026 to May 28, 2027)

Epsilon applies the foundational operations of whole numbers to operations involving fractions and decimals, illustrating God’s design for division and proportion in his created order. Through the use of visual manipulatives, students gain insight into mathematical principles in a way that reflects the clarity and truth of God’s Word. Other topics will include basic geometry, common factors, least common multiple, prime numbers, average, and coordinates. Math-U-See Epsilon meets the fourth grade requirement for the VSA Associate and Standard Level diploma only. Homework will average 3-5 hours per week reinforcing concepts and encouraging independent learning.

Prerequisites

Minimum age of 9 and maximum age of 12 on the first day of class. Successful completion of Math 3 Math-U-See Delta or comparable course in the previous 24 months is strongly encouraged.
