Problem Solving: Mathematical Reasoning
Developing the ability to think critically and solve problems creatively is the foundation of this class. This is the intersection of logic, [mathematical] intuition, and the mathematics we use to describe the natural world created by a divine Creator. Students will reason, model, and draw conclusions or make decisions with quantitative information. This class will not focus solely on the "correct" solution but also on the defense of the student's arrival at that solution. Moreover, it will be fun and interactive with an emphasis on collaboration and oral and written presentation of solutions and methods. Homework will average 3-5 hours per week.
