Omnibus V Primary

Omnibus V Primary focuses on great works of theology, history and literature of the medieval world beginning with the works of St. Augustine and ending in the Reformation era. In addition to studies on history, theology and literature, students will be introduced to and learn to think biblically about aesthetics, anthropology (including world cultures and archaeology), law, philosophy, poetry, and political science (including politics). Students learn to read and appreciate the great books in light of the truth of Scripture. The Omnibus courses are the best way we know to engage with the great works of Western Civilization and learn to think biblically about everything. Diploma students completing the course will be given a credit in English: World Medieval Literature II. Diploma students completing the Omnibus V Primary and the Omnibus V Secondary courses during the same year will be given three credits for the two courses, one each in History: World Medieval History II, English: World Medieval Literature II, Religion: Doctrine and Theology V. Omnibus V courses are recommended for 10th-12th grade students. This course is eligible for dual enrollment credit for junior and senior students. Homework will average 6 - 7 hours per week, depending on reading speed.
