This course is an introductory level course, providing a foundation in the basics of Hebrew grammar and vocabulary. Students will read well-known folk tales and traditional Messianic Jewish prayers in Hebrew. They will demonstrate their understanding of the language by writing their own Hebrew compositions as a class and individually. Finally, students will translate passages of the Old Testament, equipping them with basic tools for the interpretation of the Hebrew Scriptures. Homework will average 2 - 3 hours per week.View Hebrew Syllabus
