Geography - North
This class includes the study of the continents and oceans, the British Isles, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, the former U.S.S.R., and Southern Europe. It fits well with a study of History using the Veritas Press Middle Ages, Renaissance, and Reformation curriculum. The curriculum used in the course features Mr. Latitude and Mr. Longitude, who will take students on an exciting trip throughout Europe using their old and new maps. Alice in Wonderland joins them for this jaunt, in which they are searching for the missing Loch Ness Monster. Their adventures include sea serpents, St. George, and King Wenceslas. Students will explore the culture of each area of study while learning the capital city and location of each country. Song memorization will help students remember the countries in each specific region. Homework will average 1-2 hours per week.View Geography - North Syllabus
