Physics II
Physics II builds on the foundation laid in Physics I, developing more complex problem-solving skills and a deeper level of understanding. Class size is considerably smaller to allow more extensive presentation time and individual attention. Students will learn to solve more advanced problems involving kinematic equations, energy, gravity, sound and light, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, special and general relativity, DC circuits, and atomic and nuclear physics. Students will gain a more complete understanding of classical and modern physics, looking at many real-life applications of these concepts. This course is eligible for dual enrollment credit for juniors and seniors. Homework will average 3 - 5 hours per week.
