Pre-Calculus Saxon

This course will provide the students with a college prep Pre-Calculus course that will prepare them to succeed in calculus, chemistry, physics, and more. Students will have continued practice of intermediate algebra and trigonometry introduced in Algebra II Saxon. New and continuing topics include in depth coverage of trigonometry, logarithms, analytic geometry, upper level algebra, functions, matrices, and statistics. Students who are more concrete thinkers and thrive on repetition will do well in this class. The course will use the Saxon Advanced Math curriculum. This course will help those students who may struggle with more complex math curriculum. Pre-Calculus Saxon meets the Approved Math course requirement for the VSA Associate Level diploma only. Homework will average 5 - 6 hours per week.
