College Test Prep

Our College Test Prep course focuses on both standardized college entrance exams, the ACT and the Redesigned SAT. The course is a comprehensive review of the reading comprehension, math, grammar, writing and science skills required to get the best performance results for these exams, as well as strategies beyond skill sets that leverage logical and critical thinking. These test results are an important factor colleges use to evaluate student applications. Students will learn SAT and ACT concepts with relevant test examples. Students will learn effective strategies and approaches to optimize their test scores. Recommended for Sophomores and Juniors who plan to pursue higher education. Sophomores taking this course will be prepared to take the P/SAT and college entrance exams during their Junior year and as late as January of their Senior year. Juniors taking this course will be able to fine-tune their current skills and apply them to their college entrance exams as late as January of their Senior year (based on admission policies from each college). This is an ungraded course.

Prerequisites

Minimum age of 15 on the first day of class. This course is intended for upper secondary students, typically high school age. Successful completion of VSA Algebra II or comparable course in the previous 24 months is strongly encouraged.
