Pre-Calculus

This course includes a rapid review of Algebra II from chapters 3-7 of the Foerster Algebra and Trigonometry text, then begins in Chapter 9 to finish the text as a preparatory course for the study of Calculus. New concepts include expansion on quadratic relations and systems, higher degree functions and complex numbers, sequences and series, probability, trigonometry, and advanced triangle problems. Homework will average 3 - 4 hours per week.

Prerequisites

Minimum age of 12 on the first day of class. Successful completion of VSA Algebra II or comparable course in the previous 24 months is strongly encouraged.
