Jenna Carey

Jenna Carey grew up in southern Missouri where she learned of Christ’s love for her from a very young age. But only when she grew older did she truly grasp the magnitude of Christ’s sacrifice for her. Through the years, Christ fostered His relationship with Jenna, calling her to share His truth through education. She attended a classical Christian high school, then earned her BA in English and History from College of the Ozarks in Branson, Missouri. She then moved to Fayetteville, Arkansas and obtained her MA in Medieval Literature from the University of Arkansas. While there, she taught several undergraduate classes including Composition I and II and World Literature. After several years in school, she moved back home to Missouri and began teaching at Legacy Academy, a classical Christian school in Branson. At Legacy, she taught junior high literature, math, composition, and Latin. Jenna now teaches part-time at Headington Hill Classical Academy in Springfield, Missouri. Jenna is so excited to continue teaching in the classical Christian classroom! Bringing students closer to Christ through the beauty of academics gives her so much joy!

Jenna attends New Life Church in Springfield, serving in the technology department most Sundays. Recently, she has loved digging into the New Testament as she reflects on the most recent episodes of The Chosen. When she is not serving at church or teaching, she loves to cozy up with a mystery novel and her boxer-terrier, Baxter! She enjoys spending time with her family on the weekends, visiting her parents, watching her younger brother’s track meets, her sister’s concerts, and eating dinner with her older brother and his family. Jenna also loves living the aunt life to the most precious baby niece, Lulu.
