Luke was born and raised in Clifton Park, NY. An avid outdoorsman, Luke spent much of his time camping, hiking, canoeing and enjoying proximity to the Adirondack Mountains. He graduated from Grove City College with a B.A. in History in 2014 and a minor in Biblical & Religious Studies. At college he was introduced to Reformed theology as well as classical Christian education. Being thoroughly convinced of both, Luke spent several years teaching at a classical Christian school in Savannah, Georgia. He has taught history and literature classes in Ancient, Medieval, and Modern periods as well as introductory courses to Formal Logic and Rhetoric. Luke is finishing up his Masters in Classical Christian Studies through New St. Andrews College in Moscow, ID. The low-residency nature of the Master’s program has further convinced him that it is indeed possible to do classical Christian education, and do it with excellence, via an online platform! Luke spends his non-teaching time working alongside a General Contractor, pruning his fruit trees and grape-vines, and raising two little men (Silas and Seth) with his wife, Emily.
