Andrew Preston has been an instructor and tutor in classical Christian education since 2013, teaching a variety of subjects such as Logic, Latin, Greek, Systematic Theology, Omnibus, and Analyzing Literature. He is passionate about shepherding students in the formation of Christ-like virtue by becoming beholders of God’s glory in all that is good, true, and beautiful. Andrew earned a B.A. in Theological Studies at Bethlehem College & Seminary (Minneapolis, MN), and he is completing his M.A. in Theology at Fuller Theological Seminary (Pasadena, CA). With a life-long love for learning, Andrew continues his studies in Greek, Latin, and Hebrew through various curricula with the Polis Institute (Jerusalem) and the Accademia Vivarium Novum (Rome). Additionally, he plans to continue post-graduate and doctoral work in the UK with a focus in philosophical and systematic theology. Andrew also has a deep love for the church with long-term goals to serve in ministry and academia. It was a love for philosophy and art that the Lord used to lead Andrew to faith. In his teenage years, Andrew began reading Classical philosophy (e.g., Plato and Aristotle) as well as various works from Eastern Religions (e.g., Taoism and Buddhism), and it was at this time that a love for painting, music, and poetry was reawakened. A restless heart led Andrew on a quest for the true, the good, and the beautiful. It was during the summer after graduating High School when he heard the gospel for the first time from an evangelist at a shopping mall. It was then that Andrew first discovered that his quest found its fulfillment in the person and work of Jesus Christ, united in the divine love of our Triune God. This reality continues to inspire Andrew in his teaching and every facet of his life. Andrew and his wife Jessica currently reside in Minneapolis, MN. They enjoy reading, drinking good coffee, long-boarding, listening to music, visiting art museums, painting and drawing, having meals with friends, spending time with family, and playing with their dog, Auggy. The Preston’s are active members at Restoration Anglican Church, a young and vibrant church plant in South Minneapolis, where they have found a rich community of faith and worship.
