Kristina Todorich discovered her passion for teaching mathematics in an unconventional way, through her work as a public relations professional. After a few years in the PR world, she found herself enjoying helping others in her workplace learn new skills, particularly those involving math equations and spreadsheets, more than the publicity work itself. Kristina earned her Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Spanish from Western Kentucky University, and later returned to school to earn her Master of Arts in Teaching for Mathematics from the University of Louisville. Prior to teaching at Veritas, Kristina taught middle school Mathematics and Algebra in the public-school setting for several years. Teaching has provided her with a unique ministry opportunity, helping guide young people through both their academic and spiritual lives. Outside of teaching, she greatly enjoys leading and discipling to her life group of young married couples at her church. Kristina and her husband, Sam, are expecting their first child this year and are excited to add an adventurer to the family. They have a lifelong goal of visiting every national park in the United States and are well on their way after having visited over 2/5 of the parks so far. Kristina is looking forward to working with her students and their parents to not only develop lifelong problem-solving skills, but also show them how those skills can help deepen their faith and relationship with God.
