Kristine Landru always knew she wanted to be a teacher, but it wasn’t until middle school that anyone allowed her a formal teaching role (as a helper at VBS – Everyone has to start somewhere!) After graduating from Houghton College with a B.S. in Elementary Education, a concentration in psychology, and a minor in music, God led her to teach at a Christian school in Connecticut, where she loved building relationships with her precious students and seeing them grow academically and spiritually. She also tutored, ran after school clubs, earned her M.S. in Reading (gaining Certification in Remedial Reading and Language Arts), and married her husband during those years. She thought she was busy then, but she now juggles homeschooling three children, teaching Sunday school, helping out with her husband’s business, and enjoying time with her family and friends. Every so often, she is able to escape Connecticut and explore other parts of this amazing planet God created! Kristine has received great joy from having Veritas partner with her in teaching her own children, and is SO thankful to be able to come alongside other parents as they educate their children to love God, gain understanding, and think with a Biblical worldview. She has been a follower of Jesus since she was a young child and is eternally grateful for God’s work in her life. She loves that He even saw fit to give her a passion for a job that brings such great reward. Seeing children grow and learn (and having fun while doing it) is about the best thing there is!
