Margaret Laird is the happy wife to Ben, a university professor, and the mother of five active and inquisitive children whom she has classically home educated since 2011. A teacher at heart, Margaret graduated from Liberty University in 2003 with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences and later obtained a M.Ed. in Teaching and Learning. Throughout her teaching career, she has taught Social Studies and English in both public and charter school settings. As a Virginia native, Margaret enjoys studying local history and architecture but has also had the privilege of living and traveling extensively abroad. Always looking to bring beauty and culture into her home and life, she enjoys bread baking and the domestic arts, perusing classical books, reading aloud to her children, and hiking with her family in the Blue Ridge mountains. Grateful to the Lord for His many blessings, she often reminds her students that learning is a lifelong pursuit and that God has called us to love Him with, among other things, our entire mind.
